3000 years ago, during the Iron Age, in southwestern Arabia a pivotal ‘cultural’ revolution took place. The population was on the rise, the number of settlements increased, customs and traditions were diversified. This deep change was possible thanks to a new irrigation system to use water: the falaj system.
